Every package buys the same thing: an independent, professional review of your book. Packages differ in the details below, never in how kindly your book is read.

What your payment covers
- A close reading of your book by a reviewer who reads widely in its age category.
- A written review with a clear verdict, the readers it suits best, its themes and any content notes parents and teachers should know about.
- An editorial check for factual accuracy before anything is published.
- Publication on its own page on this site, clearly labeled as a commissioned review.
- Permission to quote the review on your cover, website and retailer listings, credited to this site.
- Progress updates in your author dashboard, from payment to publication.
What payment can never buy
- A particular verdict. The reviewer decides, and the verdict is theirs alone.
- A look at the review before it is published, or any right to edit, approve or veto it.
- A reviewer who knows what you paid. Reviewers are never told your package or price.
- A kinder reading. A faster turnaround means your book is read sooner, not more generously.
- Keeping a critical review off the site. Every approved review is published, including “Not recommended” ones.

Reviews are written for adults: the parents, teachers and librarians who choose books for young readers. Read our editorial standards and how a review works before you order, so you know exactly what to expect.
Books published by Lawley Publishing are welcome, but are reviewed only by reviewers with no connection to Lawley Publishing. See our conflict-of-interest policy.
